RE: FMCA at North Little Rock

I don't know where you were Jerry. We waited a total of 15 minutes while they parked other people, then parked us. Electric was on when we pulled in at 10:30am yesterday. Rally really doesn't start untill today. It is a city owned park not an RV park. So far all volunteers have been courtious and kind.
On the other hand we were disappoint to hear that the vendors don't start till Friday, Their display area is a little far away but there is a free trolly to take you there. We did hear some folks had a problem with ants, but then we spray against them everytime we set up. If I wanted to complain the most, they did park us right next to a overpass. But, if you really use your imagination, the sound of the trucks going over kind of sounds like waves crashing aginst rocks ROFLMAO :R We're just here to have fun

RE: Getting new "local stations" while traveling

Jeff
That's a pretty cool map. That would help on selecting cities for viewing. I'm in Little Rock AR now and still getting St. Louis stations so the coverage must be a little wider in some spots than indicated on the map. Cool map non-the-less.

RE: Getting new "local stations" while traveling

It's real simple call direct, tell them you are in a new "service area" you will need to give them a local address, I suggest the address of the park you are staying at. Tell them NOT to change your billing address. When you get home you will have to reverse the process. The digital signal from the SAT, called the "Cone" has a radius of several hundred miles. i.e. St. Louis stations can be recieved in Branson MO, Memphis TN, even Little Rock AR. We do this whenever we change regions. Even if it's just for a few days.

Could be just me but, I bet they would drool over a 45 footer with 4 slides. You couldn't fulltime in anything I see on the German site

RE: Looking for some advice please

For what it's worth. While doing our business we get the opportunity to talk to owners and work on a lot of coaches. The Tiffin products seem to get high points. By far the coach with the fewest compaints and best customer support. Obviously this is very un-scientific.

RE: Main Street Station RV park Las Vegas

Spent a couple of nights there last spring. I don't remember showers and not sure if I would have used them if they were there. Park sits basicly under the overpass for the I 15 or 515 whatever it is. And is for the most part a converted parking lot. Fremont's Experience is within walking distance. Which goes both ways. I'm trying to be polite about some of the folks that reside in the area.
Unless you just have to stay downtown, I would rather stay at Sam's Town or Arizona Charlie's If your staying there because it's cheap, good luck, your going to need it

RE: Network channels on Direct TV

All we do is call Direct TV and told them our Home Service area has changed for the summer and we now get Rapid City local stations. When we go back to Mesa we just switch it back to the Phoenix stations. Why go thru all the hassles of the east/west feeds. Beside you don't get local weather with those and that's usefull

RE: Not many RV's and other vehicles traveling on hiways ?

empty roads??? you should have been on I-95 today. :p
bumpy
There has been a definite downward use of vehicles from what I've seen in northern states like ND and Minn., in my travels on some interstates.
Here's an article looking at the general pix in the US.
Traffic down significantly
Just MHO but, if we all listened to the propaganda the media puts out the world would have ended two decades ago.
Certainly this forum is un-scientific, but it seems there are more folks seeing more traffic than those who don't. Com'on life is an attitude, if you see the glass half empty well, then it probably is for you but not me. I like to believe we make our own karma, if you want it good start thinking good and it will happen......just MHO

RE: Good Eats in Colorado Springs?

Yep. If you mean Conway's Red Top, home of the biggest burger in the city. They are being impacted by food inflation and higher costs, but I think they are still hanging in there. Here's a link so you can see what you're missing. :E
O'man does that take me back. Big and greasy the way burgers were ment to be. Thanks Chili, maybe we will take I-25 back to AZ this fall and stop and get one..... I can taste it now with a big ole' slice of Velveta. I can feel my cholestrol rising.............roflmao

RE: Need info on place to stay in Goodyear, AZ (revisited)

To the best of my knowledge, in Goodyear proper you have 2 choices.
Phoenix Destiny RV Resort and Cotton RV Resort. Both are practically next to each other so geographically there is no difference. Cotton is a little newer of the two and spaces seem to be a little larger. Destiny has a lot of trees while Cotton doesn't have any.
Hope this helps
